Maricopa County is seeking a Programmer I to design, develop, and deliver technology solutions supporting essential department programs, including a case management system. The role involves full‑cycle application development, system integration, testing, deployment, and documentation in a collaborative, onsite environment.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with Program Managers to understand business processes and develop technical solutions
- Design, code, test, deploy, and document applications across the full SDLC
- Develop custom tools and services using Microsoft .NET APIs
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues
- Develop new programs of moderate to high complexity using standard methodologies
- Participate in inter‑agency data exchanges and criminal justice system integration projects
- Conduct thorough testing and manage application deployments
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including:
- User manuals
- Data dictionaries
- Code documentation
- Change management logs
- Participate in project meetings, technical discussions, and cross‑functional teams
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Framework
- Experience with C++ in application or systems development
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
- Hands‑on experience with Power Apps (Canvas and/or Model‑Driven)
- Experience working with Dataverse
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem
- Experience with source control tools (Git, Azure Dev Ops)
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and analytical skills
- Minimum 1 year of professional computer programming experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field
