Hadoop Developer Java; GC-USC

Role: Senior Java Developer with Big Data Experience

• 5-7 years experience in J2EE with Spring MVC, REST API, and JSON
• Strong experience with JBOSS EAP 6.X and Big Data using HBase on Hadoop
• Designing Map Reduce jobs to process large HBase datasets
• Unix shell scripting skills for preprocessing unstructured data
• Developing RESTful GET calls on HBase to retrieve data
• Background in Hadoop Java programming using Map Reduce, HBase, Pig, Hive, APIs, etc.
• Linux and distributed systems management knowledge
• Knowledge of Active MQ and troubleshooting skills
• Good communication skills and aptitude

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the field for each year of education
• At least 7 years of experience within Information Technologies
