The State of Arizona is seeking an experienced Procurement Analyst 2 to support agency-wide IT procurement and financial functions. This role focuses on procuring IT products and services in the best interest of the State, including software, hardware, SaaS, cloud infrastructure, telecommunications, and IT services.
This is a project-based role requiring strong research, negotiation, vendor evaluation, and analytical skills. The Procurement Analyst will work independently under general supervision and provide recommendations for supplier selection based on detailed research and evaluations.
Key Responsibilities- Procure IT-related goods and services following statewide procurement rules and regulations
- Evaluate IT vendors and contracts, including RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs
- Conduct research and analysis to support sourcing and supplier recommendations
- Support negotiations and assist business areas in evaluating goods and services
- Manage procurement and financial activities for IT products and services, including:
- Software & SaaS
- Hardware (Desktop & Data Center)
- Cloud Infrastructure
- Telecommunications
- IT implementation, advisory, and managed services
- Prepare reports and documentation related to procurement activities
- Apply financial principles and procurement best practices across assigned projects
- Procurement experience (must be clearly reflected on resume)
- IT Asset Management
- Software Licensing experience
- Report preparation and data presentation
- Google Workstation experience
- Excel proficiency
- Invoice processing experience
