Senior QA Automation Engineer (Selenium / Java)

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Selenium automation using Java and strong manual testing capabilities. This role will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for test automation, helping define automation strategy while executing both functional and non-functional testing for core banking applications. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in banking systems, API testing, data validation, and Agile environments, and can produce detailed test plans, reports, and defect analysis for leadership.

• Lead and contribute to test automation framework development using Selenium, Java, and BDD
• Design and execute manual and automated test cases for functional and non-functional requirements
• Develop test strategies, test plans, workflows, and communication plans
• Perform API testing using Postman and validate backend integrations
• Conduct web and mobile application testing
• Execute data validation and database testing using SQL and data extracts
• Track defects and establish full traceability using JIRA/Xray
• Produce comprehensive test reports for management and stakeholders
• Collaborate with business, development, and project teams in an Agile environment
• Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies
• Identify root causes of defects and recommend quality improvements

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in large‑scale software development environments
• 2–4 years hands‑on experience with Selenium automation using Java and BDD
• Strong experience testing core banking or retail banking applications
• Hands‑on experience with JIRA and Xray for test and defect management
• Strong API testing experience using Postman
• Solid experience with SQL, databases, and data extract testing
• Excellent communication, documentation, and reporting skills

• Java or other programming certifications
• Software Testing / QA certifications
