Position Overview

The IT Manager position is both management level and hands‑on. This position is responsible for selecting, obtaining, developing and managing all information technology systems and services that the company uses. You will be responsible for these tasks directly initially. It is expected that you will add and manage additional members of the IT team as the company grows over time. As the term 'Knights' portrays, an exceptional level of customer service as well as respect for the homeowner and their information security and privacy must be provided in all customer interactions.

Responsibilities
  • Hardware & Infrastructure:
  • Identify needs, select, purchase/lease, deploy, manage, and track IT hardware, including networking gear, workstations, laptops, tablets, printers, copiers, phones, etc.
  • Manage the company's wired and wifi network(s) at its facility(s).
  • Ensure consistent network and internet availability, security and performance.
  • Implement and test data back‑up and recovery systems and business continuity strategies.
  • Support end user hardware questions and requests.
  • Software and SaaS:
  • Identify needs, select, license, deploy, and manage software and online services, including email, messaging, office productivity, business management, CRM, accounting, business intelligence/reporting, etc.
  • Manage user access and ensure proper data security of the company's various technology and business systems.
  • Be the company's in‑house technical expert on these systems and the primary liaison with the technology provider as support issues arise.
  • Help train users on these systems to ensure the technology is used to its full potential to automate tasks and drive productivity for the company.
  • Business Intelligence:
  • Regularly meet with members of the company's executive management team to determine the reporting and business intelligence needs of the business.
  • Develop reports, dashboards and other tools to help the management team gain better visibility and understanding of the company's performance.
  • Marketing Technical Support:
  • Assist with the management and security of the company's website, hosting provider, domain provider, social media sites.
  • Help select and implement prospect and customer interaction technologies, including AI voice agents and chat bots.
  • Identify and help implement tools to manage online reputation including customer reviews and community feedback on platforms like Google, Yelp, Facebook, BBB, etc.
  • Technology Development:
  • Lead the development of industry‑specific technology solutions with guidance from the executive management team.
  • Research, test, select, implement and leverage visual, AI‑based and other low or no code development tools to help build web‑based and mobile applications.
  • Research, select, implement and support the technology stack to ensure the functionality, scalability and security of the in‑house developed applications.
  • Research, select, contract and manage 3rd party developers to assist with development of the applications.
  • Test, bug‑fix, deploy, train users, and support the applications.
  • Accounting Support:
  • As time permits, assist the accounting team with processing transactions.
  • General Management:
  • Coordinate with executive leadership to ensure the technology needs of all departments are being met.
  • Participate in strategic planning and budgeting meetings to set IT goals, priorities, and budgets that align with and support the company's strategy.
  • Produce regular reports on IT expenses vs. budget, IT system performance metrics, etc.
