Senior Network Engineer – Freeport-Mc Mo Ran

Location:

Phoenix, Arizona (Hybrid). We operate primarily from the Collaboration Hub in Phoenix, but you will also collaborate virtually with team members across the organization.

Collaborate with the network operations team to maintain and enhance the performance and availability of enterprise network infrastructure (data, video, voice, wireless). Lead installation, testing, and troubleshooting procedures and provide technical leadership on operational and project work. Design and implement network solutions that minimize outages and ensure a seamless user experience.

Conduct service analysis, respond to escalated issues, and coordinate with internal teams and external providers for effective delivery. Oversee planned maintenance activities, configure and support network equipment, and interface with business users to define communication requirements.

Contribute to process documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts, and perform other related duties as assigned.

• • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field MINUS eight (8) years of experience in information network services, OR
  • High school diploma or GED MINUS twelve (12) years of experience in information network services
• Strong understanding of infrastructure design and support concepts
• Experience managing complex network projects and operational tasks
• Ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners
• Effective communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision
• Experience contributing to budget preparation and managing project resources

• Eight (8) or more years of networking experience, especially with Cisco routers and switches
• Cisco switch/router certification; ENCOR preferred (substitution possible)
• Experience with OSPF, BGP, and VRF
• Experience with Load Balancing and WAN optimization
• Experience with network monitoring tools, preferably Catalyst Center
• Extensive troubleshooting experience using packet capture and analysis tools

The estimated annual pay range for this role is $107,000 – $149,000 (base salary only). Additional compensation may include incentive awards and long‑term incentive consideration.
