We are seeking an experienced SAP Data Migration Lead to oversee data migration activities for a large-scale SAP deployment. This role requires deep expertise in SAP ECC systems, hands-on experience with ETL strategies, and strong leadership to coordinate cross-functional teams through all phases of data migration and ensure a successful go-live.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end data migration efforts aligned with overall project goals and timelines
- Design, implement, and monitor robust data migration strategies including ETL processes
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party partners to define and validate data requirements
- Conduct data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure data quality and readiness
- Lead testing and validation efforts including UAT to ensure successful data load and reconciliation
- Maintain detailed documentation of data migration rules, mappings, and processes
- Train and mentor team members and stakeholders on data migration tools, best practices, and processes
- Address post-migration issues and ensure continuity of business operations
- 5+ years of experience in SAP data migration (especially SAP ECC)
- Strong understanding of data modeling, governance, and quality management principles
- Proven experience leading SAP data migration projects
- Proficient in ETL tools and methodologies
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in large ERP deployments
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, MS Project, or similar
Skills:
- Experience in data archiving and decommissioning legacy systems
- Knowledge of SAP BODS, LSMW, or other SAP migration tools
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
