Our direct client has an opening for a Business Analyst (rec 1609). Please send your rate and resume. W2 only, no subs allowed. Salary range: $45-50/hr W2. This position is up to 6 months with the possibility of extension. The client is located in Phoenix, AZ.
Position DescriptionThe Technical Business Analyst’s primary goal is to help business customers implement technology solutions in a cost-effective and feasible manner by determining project or program requirements and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators, and partners. Candidates must have excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences and experience working on SCRUM teams in Agile environments.
Job Duties- Understand business units’ operations, goals, and key process dependencies; participate in QA by understanding implementation and defining test cases based on user requirements; support development teams in clarifying requirements to avoid delays.
- Identify, document, and communicate complex requirements across systems and domains using specified formats to ensure continuity across projects.
- Prepare business process maps, workflows, use cases, specifications, wireframes, process diagrams, and develop user stories and mock-ups; identify process improvements and modifications.
- Develop Agile Product Backlog items with assumptions, acceptance criteria, and details; facilitate backlog grooming and sprint planning.
- Understand process integration across domains, scope, and plans.
- Other duties as assigned related to the role.
- Strong knowledge and experience analyzing IT business processes, including system design and full lifecycle project development.
- Experience handling complex requirements across systems and domains using specified formats.
- Proficiency in backlog grooming and sprint planning; experience in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Experience gathering requirements for API rules; basic SQL skills; understanding relational databases.
- Experience creating and maintaining Agile Product Backlogs and deriving requirements from business units.
- Process improvement, workflow analysis, and business evaluation skills.
- Excellent elicitation, documentation, and validation of requirements.
- Understanding of lean methodologies like Agile, Scrum, Waterfall.
- Leadership, facilitation, customer service, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel; ability to work in a team; problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, maintain confidentiality, and employ structured methodologies.
- Experience in application development in government or private sectors.
- Knowledge of Microsoft .NET technologies, SharePoint, TFS, and certifications like Scrum or IIBA.
- Minimum 4 years in technical business analysis.
- At least 3 years working in Scrum/Agile environments.
- Basic SQL skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
LOCAL PHOENIX CANDIDATES ONLY. Must be willing to work in-office up to five days a week. Standard 7-year background check required.
