Payroll Specialist

Assisting Sr Payroll Manager with compiling, reviewing and recording employee time and processing payroll. Payroll consists of time worked, PTO, bonuses, commissions and other miscellaneous earnings and deductions.

• Processing biweekly payrolls.
• Reconciling 401(k) and 401(k) loans and reporting totals to Accounting.
• Reconciling all PTO accruals and balances.
• Processing off‑cycle payrolls as needed.
• Troubleshooting payroll issues with software vendor as needed.
• Working with HR and Accounting as needed.

• At least 2 years’ experience doing payroll processing.
• Knowledge of basic accounting.
• Knowledge of payroll processes.
• Knowledge of HR roles with benefits and how they pertain to payroll.
• Knowledge of payroll taxes.

• Assisting employees with payroll‑related questions.

• Most work is performed in a temperature‑controlled office environment.
• Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.
• Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment.
• Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required.
• Some work may be completed in classroom or shop environment.
