PurposeThe Faculty Recruiter is responsible for screening applications, conducting interviews, creating offer letters, and ensuring hiring qualifications are compliant with accrediting standards. This role involves collaboration with campus leadership and other departments to ensure successful recruitment.
Education / Qualifications / Competencies- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Healthcare, or a related field; or a minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience.
- At least 3 years of experience recruiting in an academic or healthcare setting. Preference given to those with prior experience in Academic Healthcare Recruiting.
- Familiarity with healthcare terminology, clinical faculty requirements, and accreditation standards.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing techniques.
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and tools such as Paylocity and Preference given to those with Paylocity experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
- Must be located in Pacific or Mountain Time Zone.
- Collaborate with academic and clinical leadership to assess faculty staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
- Source qualified faculty candidates through academic networks, job boards, professional associations, and recruitment events.
- Create and manage job postings across institutional and external platforms.
- Screen applications and credentials to ensure alignment with academic and clinical requirements.
- Conduct initial candidate outreach and interviews to assess qualifications and institutional fit.
- Coordinate interview logistics and facilitate communication between candidates and hiring departments.
- Assist in drafting and negotiating faculty offer letters in collaboration with HR and Campus Leadership.
- Support onboarding processes, including credentialing, orientation, and integration into the institution.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and generate reports on hiring metrics and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, accreditation standards, and equal opportunity regulations.
- Promote diversity and inclusion in recruitment practices and candidate outreach.
- Utilize recruitment tools and platforms such as Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Paylocity, and
- Must be able to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Can independently move objects up to 25 lbs.
- Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, other office machinery, and perform repetitive motions.
- Must have sufficient hearing and speaking ability to communicate in person or on the phone/computer with others.
- Creating a sense of community in all interactions and communications with students.
- Identifying problem areas and offering assistance.
- Opening up safe conversations for cooperative solutions.
- Holding students to standards and goals that will ultimately make them successful in their careers.
