Location: Maricopa Association of Governments, downtown Phoenix, Arizona.
Note: A minimum of three days per week in-office is required.

TeamMAG’s Human Resources team plays a critical role in fostering a positive, productive, and inclusive workplace culture. The team partners closely with leadership and staff to align people strategies with organizational goals, promote employee engagement, and create an environment where every employee can thrive.
PositionMAG is seeking an experienced, service-oriented professional to join our HR team.
Responsibilities- Proactively source, screen, and engage high-quality candidates through creative outreach, networking, and use of multiple recruitment platforms.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, develop targeted recruitment strategies, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee a seamless onboarding experience by coordinating orientation sessions, benefits enrollment, I9 processing, etc.
- Maintain and update organizational personnel records related to recruitment, vacancies, salary, and organizational charts.
- Assist HR Director in creation and facilitation of HR‑related trainings.
- Assist with implementation of the Workday HCM system (scheduled to go live June 2026) through testing, process optimization, and staff training.
- Facilitate 45‑ and 90‑day new hire check‑ins and exit interviews to evaluate employee satisfaction and support continuous improvement of HR programs.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to HR‑related inquiries, delivering exceptional service to employees and external contacts.
- Collaborate with benefits vendors and insurance carriers to enhance program administration, facilitate knowledge sharing, and ensure a positive and informed employee experience.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of progressive HR experience, including the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Skilled In- Full‑cycle recruitment, sourcing, and talent acquisition strategies
- Benefit administration and vendor collaboration
- Creating and delivering employee and supervisor trainings
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Providing a high level of customer service and stakeholder engagement
- Analyze and think critically, draw conclusions, and report results accurately
- Interpret and apply employment laws, regulations, and organizational policies
- Exercise sound judgement to make critical decisions
- Maintain confidentiality
- Manage multiple projects with competing timelines effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience with Workday is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration or related field.
- At least 3 years’ experience in such areas as Human Resources, labor relations or similar.
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
- SHRM or PHR certification is a plus.
