You will play a key role in shaping how employees are supported, rewarded, and engaged as the company continues to scale. Initially, this role will be highly execution-focused, establishing structure, processes, and partnerships. Over time, it will evolve into a leadership position with responsibility for building and developing a broader total rewardsfunction.
Key Areas of Responsibility Benefits Administration and Optimization- Oversee health, welfare, and leave programs, ensuring they are competitive, compliant, and well-managed
- Serve as the primary contact for benefits vendors and brokers
- Lead annual open enrollment and ongoing benefits communications
- Design and maintain salary structures, incentive programs, and career progression frameworks
- Support leaders with compensation guidance tied to performance, growth, and retention
- Ensure programs comply with applicable federal, state, and regulations including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, and ADA
- Maintain accurate documentation and support audits as needed
- Clearly explain rewards programs in a way that is accessible, transparent, and employee-focused
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees navigating benefits and compensation questions
- Maintain data integrity across HRIS and benefits platforms
- Partner closely with Payroll, Finance, and Safety to ensure alignment across systems and processes
- As the function grows, recruit, mentor, and manage analysts supporting benefits and compensation administration
- Five or more years of experience in benefits and compensation, including at least two years in a leadership or senior individual contributor role
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)
- Experience supporting field-based or operational organizations preferred
- Strong Excel skills and experience working within HRIS platforms
- Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, CEBS, or CCP are highly valued
- Bilingual English and Spanish capabilities are a plus
- Enjoy working independently while owning outcomes end to end
- Are comfortable creating structure in fast-growing environments
- Communicate clearly and confidently with leaders and employees alike
- Prioritize organizational success over individual recognition
