Laundry Attendant at MCR Hotels (Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix/Avondale)
OverviewThe MCR standard is to provide clean, friendly, well-organized and safe hotels for our guests. Areas of excellence include Happy Guests, Spotless Cleanliness, Product Consistency & Quality, and Teamwork.
Responsibilities and Expectations- Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay, using the guests’ names when possible.
- Contribute to great guest satisfaction scores through teamwork and guest relations.
- Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency.
- Maintain strong hotel knowledge of features and amenities; support groups and events as needed.
- Utilize relevant technology; maintain professional phone etiquette with the approved greeting.
- Keep front and back of house areas clean and well-organized; pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed.
- Follow checklists accurately and ensure timely shift handovers.
- Wear a clean, approved uniform with nametag and maintain professional grooming.
- Communicate clearly and professionally; maintain a can-do attitude and collaboration across the team.
Role-Specific Duties
- Linen Processing:
Collect, transport, sort, weigh, load/unload washers and dryers, fold, store and deliver linens. - Linen Cleaning and Folding:
Wash and dry dirty linens and towels; sort, fold and stock linen carts; manage linen carts and storage. - Equipment Operation:
Operate washing machines and dryers; clean dryer filters; perform routine equipment care per training. - Laundry Facility Cleanliness:
Sweep/mop floors; store linens off the floor; keep back-of-house areas organized and clean. - Chemical Management:
Replace and replenish cleaning chemicals as directed.
- Happy Guests:
Management performance ratings; guest satisfaction scores/intent to return. - Spotless Cleanliness: GM/AGM spot checks, leadership walk-throughs, guest ratings.
- Product Consistency & Quality:
Checklist tracking, management ratings, guest ratings. - Teamwork:
Management performance ratings and collaborative culture.
- Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing field preferred.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn (Can-Do Attitude).
- Ability to follow guidelines and procedures; perform well under pace and pressure.
- Strong listening, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
- Hospitality and guest service focus; willingness to serve all guests.
- Age: 18+;
Schedule flexibility including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. - Clock-in/out discipline; break and call-out procedures as directed by supervisor.
- Physical:
Ability to perform required duties; detailed under Physical Working Demands below.
- Standing, walking, repetitive motions of wrists/hands/fingers; lifting items as needed.
