Position Summary:
This Associate Manager provides operational, financial, managerial and/or clinical support within the department. Responsibilities include supervising staffing, participating in selection, orientation, counseling, performance evaluations, and ensuring optimal patient care. The role also involves implementing department policies, ensuring compliance, and achieving financial and productivity goals.
Duties:
Maintaining department day‑to‑day workflows, staff scheduling, and workflow coordination. Working with leaders, physicians, and staff to complete tasks.
Core Functions:
- Provide patient care support and serve as a resource to staff for clinical and managerial assistance. Assume direct patient care when necessary. Promote interdisciplinary planning and education.
- Demonstrate effective communication, problem solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution while supervising the department. Collaborate with vendors and other departments to secure resources and coordinate patient care.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and interpretation of department/facility/system policies within the clinical setting. Ensure safe, cost‑effective care while considering patient satisfaction.
- Hire, train, evaluate, counsel staff, initiate corrective action, and direct workflow. Participate in developing and implementing department goals and objectives.
- Support change initiatives and process improvement within the department.
- Manage patient care activities within budgetary and productivity guidelines, monitor staff usage, and ensure staffing meets patient needs responsibly.
- Maintain clinical competency, certifications, and compliance with regulatory agencies. Uphold ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities, including confidentiality and safety.
- Ensure efficient workflow operation of the department. May perform prescribed procedures per policies and procedures.
- Operate within the imaging department of the facility; may manage department budget and operations and serve on committees.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent program for other modalities (MRI, Nuclear Medicine, CAT Scan, Mammography, Diagnostic Imaging).
- National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or modality qualified licensure (NMTCB, ARDMS, ARMRIT). State licensure required if applicable.
- Advanced specialty certification (MRI, Nuclear Medicine, CAT Scan, Mammography) if applicable.
- BLS certification.
- 4+ years of relevant clinical experience with patient population.
- Effective communication, human relations, data analysis, and problem solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Health‑care related Bachelor's degree.
- Prior supervisory experience.
