The Business Analyst provides operational, strategic, and financial support for the Respiratory Care Services Department. This role is responsible for data analysis and reporting across all Respiratory Care locations, including the Thomas Campus, Arrowhead Campus, Avondale Campus, and future expansions. The Analyst develops and implements cost-reduction strategies to help meet Phoenix Children’s fiscal targets. This includes ensuring accurate charge capture, effective productivity tracking, and real-time analytics to support regulatory, quality, and safety initiatives.

Strong communication skills are essential, as the role requires collaboration with physicians, staff, and external partners. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools is critical to support strategic, data-driven decision-making. This position reports directly to the Director of Respiratory Care Services.

• Operational Oversight & Financial Accountability:
  Ensure fiscal responsibility, accurate charge capture, and effective productivity tracking. Provide enhanced operational oversight across all Respiratory Care locations. Maintain systems and processes to support real-time auditing and analytics.
• Financial Analysis & Revenue Cycle Support:
  Review and analyze financial data; report variances to the Director. Track volume, utilization, efficiency metrics, and other key statistics. Coordinate the Respiratory Care revenue cycle process, including charge master updates, routine audits, and daily charge processing. Assist in the development of annual budgets and volume projections.
• Data Analysis & Compliance Reporting:
  Retrieve and analyze departmental data to support DNV and other certification/compliance requirements. Support strategic planning through business plans for proposed programs. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and compare them to internal goals and national benchmarks.
• Cost Containment & Strategic Growth:
  Review monthly budgets to identify cost-reduction opportunities. Recommend and implement efficiency improvements and cost-saving initiatives. Support margin analysis to identify growth opportunities aligned with Phoenix Children’s strategic goals. Serve as a financial resource to providers within Respiratory Care Services.

• Education
  :

• Experience
  :

• Two (2) years of Respiratory Therapy experience. Do you meet this requirement or have the ability to obtain it within the timeframe listed in the requirement? Yes / No
• Experience in a Health care environment. Do you meet this requirement or have the ability to obtain it within the timeframe listed in the requirement? Yes / No
