Brief Description
Supervises and directs Behavioral Health Consultants, provides program direction, develops clinical protocols, and fosters the growth of integrated behavioral health consultation within Mountain Park Health Center. Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of designated Behavioral Health Consultants. Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques and completes annual performance evaluations with designated BHCs.
EssentialFunctions
- Manages workflow, performance, and overall practice operations achieving expert care, superb service, and maximum physician/staff productivity.
- Provides clinical oversight, administrative supervision, clinical guidance, and ongoing coaching, counseling, and development for Behavioral Health Consultant clinical peer reviews to meet key clinical or departmental objectives.
- Supports Director of Behavioral Health in identifying and developing necessary policies and procedures that apply to the Mountain Park Health Center Integrated Care Model.
- Makes decisions on hiring and terminations for the department.
- Coordinates onboarding and training for new Behavioral Health Consultant hires for designated sites.
- Provides screening and brief, evidence based, solution focused behavioral interventions with active development of psychotherapeutic/ psycho educational behavioral change planning for patients of Mountain Park Health Center as assigned by the Director of Behavioral Health.
- Provides on-site availability for crisis triage and intervention.
- Cultivates education, administration, and self-management skills for targeted populations with psychological or behavioral health issues.
- Provides individual, couple, family, and group interventions.
- Assists with assessing and implementing the effective utilization of the Integrated Health model for Behavioral Health Consultants at designated sites.
- Collaborates and co-manages the patient’s behavioral health care with consistent feedback to referring providers and promotes a smooth interface between medicine and specialized mental/behavioral health care throughout the organization.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Clinical Psychologist or Licensed Professional Counselor.
- Previous leadership experience.
