Job Description

The Clinical Research Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) will play a pivotal role in conducting or assisting in clinical trials, ensuring adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), local regulations, and the Declaration of Helsinki. This position involves direct patient care within clinical research trials and may require the CRNP to act as a sub-Investigator under the delegation of the Principal Investigator (PI).

Responsibilities

* Conduct study activities as delegated by the Principal Investigator and Study Project Manager, adhering to the study protocol and GCPs.

* Perform vital signs, physical examinations, and other clinical procedures in accordance with trial protocol.

* Perform phlebotomy and order diagnostic tests/procedures as required.

* Oversee study drug/treatment, including dispensation, preparation, and administration.

* Maintain study drug logs, worksheets, and labels.

* Monitor and record patient response to treatment, adverse events (AEs), and serious adverse events (SAEs).

* Coordinate medical questions and procedures with PI and study sub-Investigators.

* Coordinate patient treatment/AE management plan with investigators and Medical Director.

* Ensure accurate and detailed on-time documentation, complete case report forms (CRFs), and maintain source documentation.

* Prescribe medication and other treatments as necessary.

* Discuss and obtain informed consent from trial participants in accordance with ICH GCP and SOPs.

* Handle medical emergencies in accordance with study protocol and applicable regulations.

* Assist with study feasibility review and provide medical and scientific feedback on trial protocols.

* Work with study coordinators to ensure proper trial setup and adequate inventory of study supplies.

* Assist with patient recruitment, screening, and retention.

* Participate in the review and development of standard internal documentation.

* Participate in relevant monitoring visits, audits, and inspections.

* Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

* Experience in clinical research, chart review, and patient pre-screening.

* Proficiency in oncology and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution with advanced clinical training.

* Minimum one year of experience as a nurse practitioner.

* Active and unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Arizona.

* National NP certification.

Work Environment

This position is based on-site in Phoenix, AZ. The work is performed in a medical/clinical environment with exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations, requiring the use of protective equipment. Employees may work with blood or blood-borne pathogens, with all necessary training provided to ensure safety. The role involves moderate physical activity, including handling average-weight objects up to 35 pounds and standing or walking for more than 4 hours per day.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
