Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
TheShift Supervisoris responsible for providing operational and administrative oversight of the facility during assigned shifts or within specific units, ensuring that processes are streamlined to deliver the most efficient care to patients and effective utilization of resources. The Shift Supervisor ensures that patients progress smoothly through the facility, receiving the appropriate level of care at each stage.
- Oversees the operation of the assigned unit and shift to ensure the clinical team is operating efficiently, smoothly, and consistently to support high-quality clinical care and outcomes.
- Oversees the operation, organization, and flow of patients through the unit and facility; including but not limited to delegating work assignments for all disciplines, and supporting admissions, transfers, and discharges to and from the unit. Acts as the onsite resource for the clinical staff, individuals, family members, or community stakeholders
- Responsible for ensuring all clinical staff are following Utilization Management and Revenue Cycle Management guidelines to ensure correct coding and billing of services.
- Manages escalated concerns/problems from internal and external stakeholders. Actively assess and manage barriers that impact patient flow through the facility.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, all standards of practice, and the requirements of regulatory and accreditation agencies.
- Assists with training and orientation of new staff to unit processes and procedures. Partners with discipline manager to ensure full orientation to position.
- Utilizes de-escalation procedures and theories to assist in providing a safe milieu. Utilizes skills effectively to describe and demonstrate roles and responsibilities relative to safety.
- Partners with clinical and administrative managers to identify and manage performance and behavior issues.
- Is trained in and able to perform Safe Clinch techniques and provide oversight and guidance.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
- At least 5 years’ experience as a direct clinical care provider in Nursing, Social Services, Administrative, or Milieu support (BHS/RSS)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of leadership experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to encourage cross-functional and multi-disciplinary partnership
- The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy. All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company’s exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment.
