Our Phoenix residential program provides 24/7 care and supervision for adolescents who need a safe, structured, and therapeutic living environment. This four-day workweek allows staff to maintain strong work-life balance while delivering consistent, high-quality care and support to youth in treatment.

Position OverviewThe Behavioral Health Technician / Behavioral Health Counselor provides direct supervision, therapeutic support, and daily structure to adolescent residents. This role focuses on safety, behavior monitoring, routine reinforcement, and maintaining a recovery-oriented residential milieu.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct supervision and support to adolescent residents throughout daily routines
- Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic residential environment
- Observe, document, and report client behaviors, incidents, and progress accurately
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including hygiene, meals, and room upkeep
- Support emotional regulation, coping skills, and positive peer interactions
- Conduct drug screenings in accordance with program protocols
- Participate in therapeutic, educational, and recreational programming
- Monitor resident movement, attendance, and transitions within the facility
- Collaborate with clinical, nursing, and leadership teams to support treatment goals
- Uphold confidentiality, professional boundaries, and ethical standards
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the residence
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and required documentation
- Perform additional duties as needed to support client care and program operations
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in behavioral health (1–2 years preferred)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Experience working with adolescents or in residential or care-based settings preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Must pass required background checks
- Possess or be eligible for a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
