Position Title: Group Facilitator
Location: 11645 N. Cave Creek RD, Phoenix, AZ 85020
Position SummarySanctuary Recovery Centers is seeking a compassionate and dependable Group Facilitator to lead structured peer support and recovery-focused groups. This role is ideal for individuals with behavioral health experience who are passionate about empowering others through lived experience and therapeutic engagement. The facilitator will work closely with clinical teams to ensure group content aligns with recovery goals and client needs.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate scheduled peer support and recovery groups using approved curricula and trauma-informed practices.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful group environment.
- Document attendance and group notes accurately and timely.
- Support clients in developing recovery goals and accessing resources.
- Collaborate with behavioral health staff to coordinate care and group programming.
- Uphold Sanctuary Recovery Centers' values of compassionate care and lasting recovery.
- Current Peer Support Certification (Arizona)
- Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Either a current BHT Certification or a minimum of 4 consecutive years of experience working as a BHT
- Experience facilitating behavioral health or peer support groups
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
- Experience working in residential or outpatient recovery settings.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
