Medical Assistant Float - Phoenix Valley

Description

IMS Care Center, headquartered in Phoenix, is a physician-led organization with 500 employees. The Medical Assistant Float supports the Primary Care clinic by assisting patients and their families before, during, and after visits. Medical Assistants work alongside doctors, nurses, and other clinical personnel to help the clinic run smoothly.

• Take vitals and review patient history
• Prepare and clean rooms for patients and help prepare patients for the physician encounter
• Perform a variety of office-based tests and treatments under clinician supervision
• Coordinate and manage patient care including pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions, and scheduling for clinic, hospital, and other ancillary services
• Resolve patient concerns promptly

• 1 – 3 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
• Bilingual strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school, or passage of the Medical Assistant examination
