The Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Program Review Committee-District North Chairperson.

This position provides oversight of the Program Review Committee (PRC) and facilitates development and implementation of behavior plans and services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Applicants for this position cannot be licensed or certified by the DDD Office of Licensing Certification and Regulation, cannot have a principal interest in or have a spouse or close family with principal interest in a DDD Qualified Vendor Agreement, and cannot be employed or subcontracted by a DDD Qualified Vendor.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Program and Review Committee (PRC) Chair for the District, coordinating the committee and scheduling PRC meetings per DDD policy.
  • Review Behavior Plans (BP) and provide constructive feedback to the planning team regarding the plans.
  • Approve or disapprove BPs, track changes recommended by the PRC to the provider agency, attend provider and IOC meetings, and provide program changes and technical assistance to provider agencies on an individual basis.
  • Refer providers to the DDD Training Unit for BTP classes so that agency staff receive proper training.
  • Supervise administrative staff, including daily supervision, performance review/management, and annual leave/time cards.
  • Provide data, meeting agendas, notices, and minutes to PRC for review and approval.
  • Collaborate with PRC administrators to ensure timely completion of a variety of assigned projects related to the Division and its members with developmental disabilities.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)
  • Knowledge of DDD service delivery system and the Arizona Long Term Care Services (ALTCS).
  • Federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures (e.g., Americans with Disabilities Act, HIPAA, Article IX, etc.).
  • Positive behavior building and behavior plan development.
  • Effective management principles and statistical methods.
  • Oral and written communication.
  • Interpersonal relationships and diplomacy spanning a large and diverse group of individuals.
  • Assessment and evaluation of Behavior Plans (BP) to ensure compliance.
  • Researching, compiling data, and providing comprehensive reports.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Work independently and within a variety of diverse groups.
  • Work with various committees to ensure proper policies and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Recognize basic human rights and oversee the implementation of care and assistance needs for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Selective Preference(s)
  • At least 2 years experience in Case Management/Support Coordination and/or writing and implementing Behavior Treatment Plans.
Pre-Employment Requirements
  • Operating a motor vehicle on state business requires a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, completion of required training, and successful pass of all necessary driver license record checks. Maintain acceptable driving record and required liability insurance.
