About the RoleThe Patient Placement Coordinators role is the front line of our hospital. You will be the voice, eyes and ears of our families and providers wanting information about the services Phoenix Children's can offer.
Responsibilities- Have a vast array of knowledge of the internal functions of a hospital.
- Educate and communicate to those who are wanting to know more about PCH.
- Use RN skills to direct the patient/physician to the appropriate resources.
- Take incoming calls dealing with highly complex medical cases.
- Minimum of 2 - 4 years of Emergency Room experience.
- Some critical care experience is required.
- This position does require an RN license.
- NO NEW GRADS, please.
- Ability to handle complex medical issues.
- Knowledge of hospital functions.
- Experience in a pediatric setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
We have a FULL TIME position, working 11 AM - 12:30 PM (3/12 hour shifts); we have a benefitted PART TIME position, working 2/12 hour shifts, (7 AM - 7:30 PM shift and one 9 AM - 9:30 PM). We even have PRN positions open in this unit!!! All positions will require incumbent to work every third weekend.
