Patient Care Technician, Mental Health
Duration: 13 weeks with possible extension
Schedule: 3×12‑hour shifts per week | Day and night openings
Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor patients on suicide watch, in therapeutic restraints, or otherwise at risk of self‑harm or harm to others.
Conduct continuous visual or video observation and report observations to licensed nursing staff.
Document patient activity, behavior, and changes accurately and promptly.
Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the care team.
Follow instructions and protocols established by nursing and medical leadership.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.
At least 6 months of experience in a healthcare, clerical, or patient support role.
Experience observing patients and reporting findings clearly and accurately.
Ability to monitor multiple screens or patients simultaneously.
