We're a growing department with an entrepreneurial spirit, building both our team and our capabilities. Our Clinical and R&D groups conduct studies across the U.S., and this role supports work that goes beyond routine clinical practice. We're looking for someone with 6+ years of histology experience, HT or HTL ASCP certification, and proven experience leading teams of 10 or more in a dynamic lab environment.
The Anatomic Pathology Manager oversees daily operations of the A&P labs, including QA/QC, equipment setup, SOP development, and supervision of histology procedures. The manager leads and mentors histologists while remaining hands‑on at the bench, handling specimens, embedding, cutting, and staining (H&E, IHC, IFC) and ensuring all work meets Castle Biosciences' QMS, CLIA, CAP, and NYS standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- ASCP Board certified Histotechnician HT/HTL required, with ongoing CMP maintenance, BS degree in life sciences or healthcare‑related field or equivalent 6‑10 years of experience, preferred in a clinical, research and/or development environment.
- 6‑10 years of technical proficiency in histological methodology, knowledge of regulatory requirements, and successful collaboration with others.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with histology and technical procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality control purpose and procedures.
- Monday‑Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, exempt position. Schedule may be updated based on needs.
