Behavioral Health Solutions (BHS) is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) licensed in Arizona to work Psychiatric Evaluations and Medication Management in a Short Term Care facility setting.

Serviceareas incorporate
- Phoenix, AZ
- Provide face‑to‑face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
- Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
- Appropriately diagnose DSM‑V disorders and develop treatment plans.
- Apply appropriate medical decision‑making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non‑pharmacological treatments.
- Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.
- Part‑time to start, with potential to increase to full time
- W2 Billable Unit or 1099 Independent Contractor Rates
- Licensed in Arizona by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
- Licensed by the Arizona Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA)
- Possession of Malpractice Insurance if Independent Contractor (offered by the company for W2 employees)
- 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
- 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Experience with EMR/EHR Systems (Athena I, a plus).
- Excellent written communication.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Flexible, organized and functions under stressful situations.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus!
- Billable hourly compensation model (no waiting on reimbursements).
- Avoid “no‑shows” when working in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
