The Dispensing Pharmacist 2 is responsible for the accurate and timely dispensing of prescribed medication to patients. The Dispensing Pharmacist 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
The Dispensing Pharmacist ensures adherence to quality assurance standards, accurate tracking techniques and a review process prior to shipping medications to patients. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Hours of operation for distribution are 5:30am to 6:30pm. The schedule for position will be: 5:30am-4:00pm (4/10s). However, occasional overtime may be required including Saturdays and Sundays. This is an ON-SITE role. Non-patient facing role.

Scope of Role and Responsibilities
* Participate in the preparation of prescriptions via a highly automated system
* Check for completeness and accuracy of all new and refill labels and orders.
* Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling
* Interact with fellow health care team members
* Assure compliance with legal requirements within the pharmacy
* Process and check for completeness and accuracy of all new and refill Braille and Talking Vial orders.
* Pharmacist must be able to perform the duties required in the 3-core areas (i.e.: Puck verification, TOTE verification, and Bulk Up)
* Researching medication issues
* Other duties as assigned by management
Required Qualifications
* Bachelors of Pharmacy or Pharm
D degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
* Licensed as a PHARMACIST in state(s) of practice
* Ability to participate in Federal prescription programs
* Self-directed, but also able to work well in a group
* Ability to solve problems and encourage others in collaborative problem solving
* Work ethic that is focused, accurate, and highly productive
* Excellent communication skills
* Proficient with computers
* Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
3 or more years experience in a high volume community or mail order pharmacy practice environment
Additional Information
* Pharmacist must have the ability to stand during entire work shift.
* Pharmacist must have the ability to lift up to 30lbs when needed.
* Pharmacists possess hand strength to grasp and twist item continuously.
* Pharmacist must have the ability to work around pharmaceutical products.
* Pharmacist must have the ability to reach above waist and shoulders frequently.
* Pharmacist must have the ability to bend below waist and twist frequently.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$104,000 - $143,000 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
