What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Medical Assistant who enjoys the challenge of a fast-paced environment and teamwork. Patient and employee care are our top priorities, and we seek customer-friendly, passionate employees to join our growing organization.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the provider with exams (including vitals), procedures and other direct patient care tasks under the provider’s supervision and within the scope of a Medical Assistant.
  • Administer all forms of medication per policy and provider direction, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures for medication administration.
  • Perform blood draws as directed by the provider.
  • Collect urine samples for testing, including employer drug screens.
  • Perform splinting and casting when required.
  • Conduct various types of physicals such as sports physicals.
  • Perform other urgent‑care duties such as ear lavage, wound care and oxygen administration.
  • Notify the provider on duty promptly about all unusual patient occurrences, including medication events, on an incident report.
  • Notify the Clinic Manager of patient or employee safety concerns.
  • Follow laboratory and clinical accreditation policies and guidelines.
  • Be proficient in EMR/EHR systems.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or described by company policy.

As a Medical Assistant, you may also be asked to support front‑office reception. Duties include keeping patients and families informed of wait times, monitoring patient flow, processing patients for discharge (preparing charges, collecting payment, obtaining signatures, issuing receipts).

The Medical Assistant supports the organization with customer service, treating all patients with respect and dignity, ensuring the clinic and front reception run smoothly, and providing patient care services in the medical setting to meet specific patient needs.

Essential Education, Experience And Skills
  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completed an approved (accredited) Medical Assistant training program.
  • OR completed an unapproved (non‑accredited) Medical Assistant training program and obtained a national certification through one of the following:
    • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) – Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam and certification.
    • American Medical Technologists (AMT) – Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) exam and certification.
    • National Health career Association (NHA) – Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam and certification.
