OverviewAbrazo Central Campus is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our inpatient rehab team on a per diem basis. This is a flexible opportunity for an experienced clinician to contribute to a high‑performing team in an acute care setting while maintaining a balanced schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing disorders
- Conduct and interpret Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies in collaboration with medical and radiology staff
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical goals
- Document all clinical activities accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and strategies
- Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Arizona Speech‑Language Pathology license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or current enrollment in a Clinical Fellowship (CFY)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in speech‑language pathology (acute care required)
- Experience with modified swallow assessments; MBS experience strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Excellent clinical judgment and documentation abilities
