Job Summary- Research credit balance accounts to determine proper balance and credit notification to payers.
- Research and review proper contractual and allowable adjustments.
- Follow up with payers and patients to verify address and payee details.
- Prepare refund packets for payers and patients.
- Call insurance companies regarding refund requests to obtain additional information.
- Review accounts for proper payment posting.
- Prepare approved refund spreadsheet for executive review and approval.
- Call patients and/or estates to determine proper refund address and verification.

- Phoenix, AZ
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of experience in medical billing/collections with increasing complexity and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of general office procedures and office equipment.
- Proficient PC skills and experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and medical billing software.
- Experience with email and internet usage.
- Experience in data analysis and/or payment processing preferred.
- Detail oriented and able to multi‑task.
- Proficient in accounts receivable and payment posting.
- Some college coursework preferred.
- Ability to pass a pre‑placement drug test and background screen.
- This position is designated Safety Sensitive for purposes of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act.
