Responsibilities
  • Answer phone promptly, courteously, and helpfully; screen and route calls as needed; document calls in the electronic medical record.
  • Assist in indexing patient documents to the correct chart.
  • Route electronic faxes to the correct location/fax folder or upload to the correct patient chart.
  • Assist with other duties as needed during downtime.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Fluent Spanish and excellent customer/patient service skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and practice‑management software.
  • Proficient computer skills; ability to learn updates to practice‑management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Experience
  • At least one year of medical office experience.
  • Experience using EMR with Mod Med preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Bilingual a plus.
  • Basic phone handling skills – contact center experience.
  • Basic knowledge of insurance plans and specialty referral process.
