As a Pharmacist In Charge
, you will be responsible for maintaining productivity and quality standards, as well as legal and company compliance, as you assist in the preparation of prescriptions in a variety of settings.
- Area: Must be able to work in Phoenix, AZ
- Licensure Requirements: Must have open, active, and in good standing AZ State Pharmacist License
- Education: Pharm.
D. - Experience Needed: 2+ years in a retail setting, including previous management experience
- Schedule: Full-Time
- Pay: $145,000-$150,000 DOE
- Background/ Drug Requirements: Ability to successfully complete background check, health and drug screen
- Oversee all daily pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations
- Manage prescription filling, verification, and dispensing processes to ensure accuracy and patient safety
- Supervise pharmacy staff including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support personnel
- Maintain inventory control and ordering systems to ensure optimal stock levels
- Counsel patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve prescription issues and optimize patient care
- Implement and maintain quality assurance programs and standard operating procedures
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Monitor controlled substance handling and maintain DEA compliance
- Participate in medication therapy management and immunization programs
- Stay current with new medications, treatment protocols, and pharmacy best practices
- Manage budgets and contribute to the financial success of the pharmacy
