Job Overview
Part‑time Clinical Dietitian (Hourly, 16–24 hrs/wk) to join the nutrition team at Providence Saint John’s Health Center, Santa Monica, CA. The role involves providing inpatient medical nutrition therapy across multiple specialties including Oncology, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Diabetes, GI, Renal, Liver, Maternity, and Critical Care. You will collaborate with dietitians, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals on a multidisciplinary team.
Pay Range: $33.65 – $45.67 per hour.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical nutrition therapy, including nutrition assessment, diet modification, education, and intervention for the patient population.
- Follow all guidelines outlined in the Company Diet Manual and the Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual.
- Comply with federal, state, and accrediting agency regulations while maintaining confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and patient rights.
- Train and mentor patient services staff and interns as applicable.
- Participate in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility‑wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement initiatives.
- Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing/Credentialing Board in states where required.
- One (1) year of hospital experience preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, electronic medical record and diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming.
