School Based Therapist - Deer Valley

Southwest Behavioral & Health Services is hiring a School Based Therapist for the Deer Valley School District. The role involves delivering solution‑focused and strength‑based services to a caseload of youth kindergarten‑to‑12th grade. Therapists work within the school setting, provide in‑home and community‑based services, and support students and families through intakes, assessments, treatment planning, individual counseling, case management, and psychosocial group interventions.

• Provides therapy and clinical case management for full caseload of students and/or families.
• Develops and maintains intakes, assessments, and treatment plans.
• Maintains accurate, thorough, and current documentation in accordance with SB&H clinical standards.
• Collaborates with school administrators, social workers, and teaching personnel to meet the needs of individual clients and school programs.
• Coordinates community resources alongside clinical staff and other human service professionals.
• Leads psychosocial education groups and implements other effective prevention programs that reduce risk factors for students.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Master’s degree in the Behavioral Health field (Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work).
• Preferable 1 year of full‑time behavioral health experience.
• Level I fingerprint clearance issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or eligibility to receive within eight (8) weeks of hire.

Masters level therapists begin at $50,000 annually, Associate Licensed therapist at $58,000 annually, and Independent Licensed therapists at $68,000 annually.

Full‑time position. Positions are available throughout Maricopa County. School and community‑based therapists provide services Monday through Friday, primarily during school and/or business hours.
