Duration: 6 Months

• Need someone with advanced planning experience, written planning (Possibly continuity of government plans)
• Open to new graduates with Emergency Management Degree
• Working within the Plans Branch and with the guidance of the Plans Branch Manager, this role assumes the responsibility of leading projects related to the State Hazard Mitigation Plan and local and Tribal Hazard Mitigation Planning.
• It involves tackling challenging tasks in collaboration with a team of professional planners.
• Facilitating meetings with stakeholders and coordinating various activities to ensure the timely completion of annual updates to the State Hazard Mitigation Plan and local and Tribal Hazard Mitigation Plans.
• Staying informed about federal policies, directives, goals, and frameworks to assess their impact on essential emergency management planning documentation.
• Engaging with a diverse spectrum of entities, including federal, state, local, county, Tribal, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and private sector stakeholders, as needed.

All candidates must be eligible to convert to an FTE.

• 2+ Years of Experience as a high-level planner (Government experience, experience with Written Plans, SOPs)

• Knowledge of Federal Policies directives, goals, and frameworks to assess their impact on essential emergency management planning documentation
• Degree in Emergency Management
• Experience with Emergency Planning
