Financial Reporting, Accounting & Finance
This is a rare opportunity to help build a family office the right way, from the beginning.
We are hiring a hands-on Accounting & Finance Lead to help establish and run the financial foundation of a newly formed family office overseeing operating companies, real estate, trusts, and investments.
There are no legacy systems to inherit, no bureaucracy to unwind, and no large team to manage. The office is intentionally lean. This role is designed to grow with the family over the long term, expanding in scope and trust as the office evolves. It is well suited for someone early in their career who has built a strong foundation in public accounting and is ready for real ownership - someone who wants their work to matter over decades, not quarters.
You will personally own the financial operation month by month: managing expenses, running the close, handling cash flow and reporting, and serving as a central point of financial coordination across the family's structures and advisors. Accuracy, judgment, and follow-through matter here in ways that compound over time.
Your work will help the family preserve capital, operate with discipline, and thoughtfully grow wealth across generations.
What You'll Do:- Run monthly accounting and close for multiple LLCs, trusts, and holding companies
- Manage expenses, cash flow, forecasts, and liquidity across all entities
- Track investments, capital calls, distributions, and portfolio activity
- Produce clear, decision-ready monthly financial and net-worth reporting
- Coordinate closely with outside advisors across tax, legal, estate, insurance, and investments
- Help design and refine the financial operating model for a long-term, generational family office
- Build durable systems and processes that keep the office lean, accurate, and effective
- Accounting or finance degree; CPA-eligible or actively pursuing (we will support you)
- 1-5 years of experience, with a public accounting foundation (audit or assurance preferred)
- Ready to transition into a high-ownership industry role or already operating in one
- Comfortable owning the work personally, without a large staff
- A spreadsheet expert and AI power user
- Highly organized, discreet, and dependable
- SaaS, family office, trust, or private wealth experience is helpful but not required.
- Want to manage large teams
- Prefer highly structured corporate environments
- Avoid hands-on accounting and detail work
- Are looking for a short-term stepping stone
- This role is local to Phoenix and includes regular in-office collaboration with family principals
- The family office is intentionally lean by design
- We value discretion, sound judgment, and long-term thinking
Compensation: Competitive salary plus bonus
Location: Phoenix metro, local candidates only
