Currency Transaction Report (CTR) Analyst

As a Currency Transaction Report (CTR) Analyst you’ll review accounts, customers and transactions to detect and identify reportable cash transactions. You’ll use various resources in the review, including internal bank teller system, imaging systems, and external investigative tools. You’ll perform daily reviews of cash transaction activity and the timely completion and filing of CTRs across all areas of the bank, and identify and review bank customers to determine eligibility for exemption.
- Assist with annual review of exempt customers and adhere to bank policy, procedure and regulatory requirements, maintaining a strict level of confidentiality.
- Assist with monitoring higher‑risk cash‑intensive accounts and escalating any unusual activity to appropriate management, working in a team‑oriented and collaborative environment to meet unit goals and deadlines.
- Establish working relationships with key business partners across all lines of business and provide support and guidance to the bank’s operational areas, assisting with implementation of BSA‑related programs.
- Assist with special projects and data gathering for audit and/or regulatory purposes and with internal audit and federal regulatory examinations.
- 2+ years of related experience in BSA/AML & Financial Crimes or a similar field.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
- Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
- Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act compliance and familiarity with CTRs, SARs, OFAC, MIRs, 314(a) and (b).
- Intermediate knowledge of bank products including deposit, lending, ACH, ATM, RDC and correspondent banking.
- Ability to meet regulatory deadlines with a sense of urgency while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
- Certified Anti‑Money Laundering Specialist preferred.
