Century Group is excited to partner with a leading company in the manufacturing industry to help them find a seasoned Controller to join their Phoenix-area team. As the Controller, you will play a key executive leadership role, overseeing financial management within a manufacturing or industrial setting, with a strong focus on cost accounting, capital investments, and cash flow optimization. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Expected starting base salary of $160,000 to $200,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute financial strategies to drive company growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to support business objectives.
  • Implement strong cost control measures, analyze manufacturing costs, and improve margins through financial efficiency.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk to ensure operational stability and investment readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and industry-specific reporting requirements.
Requirements:
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • Possess 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial coatings, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrate expertise in cash flow management, financial risk assessment, and capital allocation.
  • Have strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and ERP systems.
  • Show proven experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and strategic planning.
Qualifications:
  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and evaluate expansion opportunities, capital investments, and M&A prospects to drive business scalability.
  • Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess financial risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align financial strategies with overall business goals.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to process improvement, operational efficiency, and financial reporting accuracy.
