What You’ll DoThe Lead Analyst will lead a project team within Business Data Governance to prepare for Large Financial Institution (LFI) status. This role will focus on ensuring data requirements are met for Reg YY and other related reporting regulations (e.g., FR 2052a, FR Y‑14, FR Y‑15). The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of data governance policies, manage data quality and compliance initiatives, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
Strong leadership, project management, and expertise in banking regulations are essential.
- Review Business Required Documents, create test cases, execute test cases, identify defects, and work with technology teams to remediate defects.
- Develop business requirements as required by FRB regulations for a Category IV institution.
- Have knowledge of Regulatory Reporting experience including call reporting, Y14, Y15, and 2052a.
- Manage and participate in workshops to flesh out and solve problems with certain requirements, defects, or questions.
- Consult with Subject Matter Expert teams for their expertise on systems and data.
- Ability to query data in Azure SQL based databases with 2‑3 years of experience writing SQL queries.
- Provide input into Technology’s deliverables to ensure the Technology’s implementation success.
- User Acceptance Testing of Technology’s development before implementation into production.
- Understand the Federal Reserve’s rules and reflect changes in the business requirements documents.
- Analyze data used in the reporting, and work with Data, Technology and Business groups to determine data gaps that would impede accurate reporting. This provides input into the data mapping and Technology‑owned functional requirements.
- Create and execute User Acceptance Test cases.
- Consolidate work into the overall program initiative.
- Assist with overall project administration and chase action items that are open and impact the overall project.
- Lead and mentor a project team of analysts, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Technology, or another related field required. Master’s degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with increasing responsibility at a bank, including relevant internal audit experience, capital, liquidity, and/or public accounting advisory experience.
- Working knowledge of Reg YY and other related regulations (e.g., FR 2052a, FR Y‑14, FR Y‑15).
- Strong knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Expertise in data modeling, data validation, and database design.
- Exceptional MS Office skills (including Excel pivot tables). Experience with other applications is a plus.
- Experience performing User Acceptance Testing.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high‑performing teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Solid management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with regulatory reporting platforms such as Axiom preferred.
