Senior Accountant

Overview

Headfarmer is excited to be partnering with a growing, private equity-backed company in north Phoenix! We are looking for someone who can step in and hit the ground running with daily month end functions, as well as various process improvement-related projects.

You’re especially a good fit if you have experience with fast-growth, multi-location/multi-entity experience and strong general ledger knowledge.

This is a 3–6-month project opportunity, so you must be able to interview and start right away.

Location:
Northwest Phoenix; this role is fully in office

Pay: up to $60 per hour

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals and adjustments
• Complete balance sheet, bank account and credit card reconciliations
• Prepare and review financial statements
• Process, review and approve expense reports in Concur
• Assist with payroll processing, payroll journal entries and payroll reporting
• Spearhead process improvement and automation initiatives
• Support the Controller with various Ad Hoc requests and special projects

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• 5+ years of full cycle accounting experience
• Must have strong balance sheet/GL reconciliations experience
• Strong experience with financial statements and analysis
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP software
• Excellent prioritization skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
• A knack for creating departmental efficiencies and cleaning up processes
