This in‑office position with a near‑term start date requires you to support the Production Originations team through financial analysis and underwriting, loan request and investment report packaging, due diligence, closing, servicing, and various support functions.
Position Responsibilities- Underwriting – Underwrite commercial real estate debt and equity investments by analyzing historical and projected financials, borrower models, and market data, including JV waterfall and promote structures, sponsor return modeling, and scenario testing.
- Packaging – Prepare comprehensive debt and equity request packages that meet company and lender guidelines, including narrative summaries of the sponsor/borrower, property, business plan, and market conditions, supported by financial analysis, underwriting, lease/rent roll and comparables, and exhibits such as photos, aerials, and maps.
- Pre‑closing – Compile deal‑specific lists of potential lenders, coordinate and internally track lender outreach, collect loan quotes, create detailed quote matrices, and manage associated Salesforce updates.
- Closing – Provide closing coordination at the direction of the Managing Director or Producer, acting as liaison with the servicing department and handling due diligence, third‑party reports, and lender documentation.
- Research & Lead Generation – Deliver reliable borrower, property, and market data using available third‑party and internal resources, and conduct continuous and annual lead generation efforts leveraging prospecting tools and external platforms.
- Servicing – Perform regional office servicing functions such as investor portfolio analysis, lease reviews/briefs, and routine regional duties through local market knowledge.
- Client Service – Provide high‑quality, responsive service to lenders, borrowers, and internal teams in accordance with the Managing Director’s or Producer’s direction.
- Organization/Time Management – Plan, schedule, and prioritize workload to efficiently manage research, financial analysis, underwriting, loan packaging, and closing services.
- Marketing & Office Administration – Offer administrative support and marketing efforts for office functions as needed.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate Finance, with preference for exposure to multifamily, retail, and/or industrial underwriting.
- Experience with equity underwriting (JV structuring, waterfall modeling) is a strong plus.
- Four‑year college degree; major in real estate, finance, accounting, or business is preferred.
- Proficient understanding of cash‑flow analysis and ability to calculate NOI, DSC, ROC, IRR, etc.
- Proficient tech knowledge, including advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
Salesforce or ARGUS experience is a plus. - Strong organizational skills, ability to multi‑task under pressure, and a proven problem‑solving aptitude.
- Resourceful, initiative‑driven, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and willing to work extended hours when necessary.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
