Title: Tax Manager (Open to folks el wanting to move into management)

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Setting: Hybrid (2 days onsite/week)
Compensation: $100k - $130k (Potential flex)+ Discretionary Bonus + 3 weeks PTO + 401k matching (4% match if you contribute at least 5%)
The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our Shared Services team. This individual will oversee all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and reporting across a multi-entity organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with external CPAs and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities- Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns including preparing/overseeing areas such as real property, personal property and sales and use tax. Partner with our external CPAs in the preparation and review of corporate and personal tax returns.
- Tax Planning: Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liability and optimize the company’s tax position.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly taxable income numbers for multi-entity environment including presentation to owners/leadership and monitoring GAAP vs. Tax differences. Prepare annual tax provisions in accordance with applicable accounting standards, ensuring accurate tax-related disclosers in financial statements
- Audit Coordination: Manage and coordinate tax audits with external auditors and tax authorities, ensuring compliance and addressing any issues that arise.
- Legislative Monitoring: Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the organization, advising senior management of potential implications.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving tax processes and efficiencies
- Overall: Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required, CPA or Masters in Tax preferred
- Prefer 5-7 years in tax/accounting work experience, Healthcare experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships
- Detailed oriented with strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to solve problems and think critically
- Demonstrated professionalism and responsible enough to take ownership of projects
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel;
Microsoft Dynamics (GP) system experience a plus - Ability to work in fast paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision and multiple deadlines
