Tax Manager - HYBRID

• Lead preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns across multiple entities.
• Manage quarterly and annual tax provisions, estimates, and extensions.
• Ensure timely, accurate filings while maintaining a smooth, organized workflow.
• Serve as the main point of contact for IRS, state, and local audits.
• Coordinate documentation, responses, and audit strategies with confidence and clarity.
• Build strong relationships with auditors and regulatory partners.
• Collaborate closely with outside CPA firms on complex issues, compliance support, and special projects.
• Oversee outsourced work to ensure quality and alignment with internal goals.
• Leverage external expertise to stay ahead of regulatory changes and industry trends.
• Oversee sales and use tax compliance, including multi-state filings and nexus monitoring.
• Manage property tax assessments, appeals, and payments.
• Track legislative changes and ensure the organization stays compliant.
• Identify opportunities for tax efficiencies and risk reduction across entities.
• Support corporate structuring, acquisitions, and integrations from a tax perspective.
• Provide leadership with clear, practical guidance on tax implications of business decisions.
• Enhance internal tax processes, calendars, and controls.
• Introduce technology and workflow improvements that make life easier for everyone.
• Maintain documentation and ensure alignment with internal policies.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Taxation (required).
• CPA certification strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally in multi-entity or healthcare settings.
• Strong technical knowledge across federal, state, and local tax areas.
• Experience with indirect taxes (sales, use, property) required.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a flexible, fast-moving environment.
