This is a rare opportunity to help build a family office the right way, from the beginning.

We are hiring a senior, hands-on Finance Director to help establish and run the financial foundation of a newly formed family office overseeing operating companies, real estate, trusts, and investments.

There are no legacy systems to inherit, no bureaucracy to unwind, and no large team to manage. The office is intentionally lean. This role is designed to grow with the family over the long term, expanding in scope and trust as the office evolves. It is well suited for someone who wants their work to matter over decades, not quarters.

This role combines the scope of a Head of Finance with the hands-on ownership of a senior individual contributor.

You will personally run the financial operation month by month, managing expenses, cash flow, and reporting, and serving as the central point of financial coordination and judgment across the family’s structures and advisors. Accuracy, judgment, and follow-through in this role matter in ways that compound over time.

Your work will help the family preserve capital, operate with discipline, and thoughtfully grow wealth across generations.

What You’ll Do:
  • Manage monthly expenses, cash flow, and forecasts across all entities
  • Run accounting and close for multiple LLCs, trusts, and holding companies
  • Produce clear, decision-ready monthly financial and net-worth reporting
  • Coordinate closely with outside advisors across tax, legal, estate, insurance, and investments
  • Track investments, capital calls, distributions, and liquidity
  • Help design and refine the financial operating model for a long-term, generational family office
  • Build durable systems and processes that keep the office lean and effective
Who You Are:
  • A CPA with 5-12 years of experience
  • Trained in public accounting, audit or assurance preferred, now operating in industry
  • Someone who has worked in smaller, growth-oriented environments, not only large enterprises
  • Currently an Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, Finance Manager, or early-stage Controller
  • Comfortable owning the work personally, without a large staff
  • A spreadsheet expert and AI power user
  • Highly organized, discreet, and dependable
  • Family office, trust, or private wealth experience is helpful but not required.
