SUMMARYThe CFO is responsible for providing strategic leadership on all critical financial areas throughout the bank. As the key liaison between the President & CEO, the Board, and management, the CFO will have direct oversight of all financially related matters. This position also oversees the IT department.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- Financial Management:
Oversee the bank’s financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure financial stability and growth. - Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all banking regulations and financial reporting standards, maintaining compliance with local, state and federal laws. - Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present accurate financial reports to the board of directors and senior management, providing insights into the bank’s financial performance. - Strategic and Capital Planning:
Collaborate with other executives to develop and implement strategic and capital plans goals and objectives, aligning financial strategies with the overall business plans. - Risk Management:
Identify and manage financial risks, ensuring that the bank’s assets protected and that appropriate risk mitigation strategies are in place. - Team Leadership:
Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the department. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, investors, regulators and employees, to build trust and transparency regarding the bank’s financial health. - Investment Portfolio: manage the portfolio while implementing and monitoring appropriate asset and liability management processes and systems.
- Manage External Relationships:
The CPA firm responsible for audit and tax and investment firms responsible for investment purchased and sales.
- Bachelor Degree in accounting, finance or business administration
- Current or past licensing as a CPA
- Several years Banking experience
- Ability to manage staff and projects
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Computer skills and proficiency
- Time management and organizational skills
The annual compensation is based on years of experience. The range for this position is $150K - $200K annually. If you are remote the range is $125K - $150K. IF you are on site in Phoenix the range is between $150K - $200K. there is also an annual bonus with this position based on the performance of the bank in a fiscal year.
