Senior Manager, Budgeting and Forecasting

Join Western Alliance Bank as Senior Manager, Budgeting and Forecasting.
What You'll Do:
- Serve as a key contributor to the bank’s enterprise-wide budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Partner with business unit finance teams to consolidate inputs and validate assumptions for financial planning cycles.
- Develop and refine financial models that support scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and executive-level decision-making.
- Monitor and interpret financial performance trends, identifying key drivers and providing insights to guide strategic actions.
- Assist in preparing executive-level presentations that communicate budget and forecast outcomes, including variance analysis and strategic implications.
- Support the integration of planning tools and systems to improve forecasting accuracy and streamline planning workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in financial narratives across internal and external reporting.
- Contribute to initiatives focused on cost optimization, capital allocation, and investment prioritization.
- Participate in the enhancement of data governance and standardization efforts across planning processes.
- Provide responsive, ad-hoc financial analysis to support evolving business needs and strategic initiatives.
What You'll Need:
- 7+ years of related experience in Financial Analysis, Accounting, Finance (GL Management, Public Reporting, Analysis) or a similar field.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required;
Master’s or MBA preferred. - Previous leadership experience required.
- Prior banking experience required.
- Advanced to expert knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management, and/or other commercial banking products and services.
- Advanced to expert knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards, and practices.
- Advanced to expert knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced Excel capabilities (Pivot Tables, SUMPRODUCT, INDEX/MATCH, etc.).
- Advanced to expert knowledge of financial planning and analysis concepts, financial reporting and disclosure concepts.
- Expert speaking and writing communication skills.
- Certified Public Accountant preferred.
- Chartered Financial Analyst preferred.
- May require up to 25% travel.
