Job Summary
The Enrolled Agent represents clients before the IRS, reviews client transcripts, and develops strategies to resolve complex tax issues. This role combines tax resolution expertise with clear communication and a commitment to delivering accurate, effective solutions for clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist clients in addressing collection actions, including levies, wage garnishments, audits, and Revenue Officers, with a focus on release or reduction
- Negotiate payment plans, penalty abatements and other arrangements to resolve outstanding IRS tax liabilities
- Develop and implement customized tax resolution strategies, including Offers in Compromise, installment agreements, CNC, and penalty abatements
- Review and prepare timely responses to IRS notices to ensure compliance and protect client interests
- Represent clients in the appeals process for IRS decisions related to audits, penalties and assessments
- Consult with our Case Managers who explain resolution options, provide guidance and support informed decision making to clients
- Maintain up to date knowledge of tax regulations and IRS procedures to deliver effective resolution strategies
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent education required
- Must have Active Enrolled Agent (EA) certification from the IRS
- Must have PTIN
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in IRS tax resolution, with a strong understanding of IRS procedures and tax laws.
- $60,000 - $80,000 annually
- Receive yearly performance-based bonuses

- Strong tax preparation and financial analysis abilities
