Valon’s Lending team provides homeowners the ability to access low-cost and streamlined mortgage loans originated in-house, as well as Valon partners with tools to retain customers. Our primary mission is to recapture and cross-sell into our servicing portfolio: we aim to provide a compelling range of products with competitive rates with the goal of best-in-market retention rates. We employ a consumer direct sales model based out of our ops HQ in Phoenix, AZ.

As with the rest of Valon, the Lending business is rapidly growing, with an annualized volume approaching $500mm in recent months.

As Valon’s Lock Desk & Secondary Marketing Analyst, you’ll sit at the center of a fast-growing, consumer-direct mortgage lender. will own the core processes that keep our rate locks accurate, our pipeline moving, and our pricing disciplined—partnering closely with Loan Officers, Secondary Marketing, and Capital Markets. Your work will protect revenue, reduce risk, and strengthen the operational backbone of Valon’s lending platform, with the opportunity to take on broader responsibility as loan volume and the complexity of our pipeline continue to grow.

You bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an interest in how markets, interest rates, and pricing decisions drive the economics of a lending business. In this role, you’ll develop a front-line view into how lock strategy, extensions, and pricing decisions impact margin, pull-through, and pipeline risk—supporting disciplined execution in our secondary and capital markets functions. Over time, you’ll deepen your understanding of mortgage capital markets and have the opportunity to grow into more advanced analytics, pricing, or loan sale responsibilities within a modern, technology-driven lending operation.

• Manage the daily rate lock workflow by processing initial lock requests, changes, and extensions in Valon’s LOS, pricing tools, and investor portals in line with lock policies and investor guidelines.

• Monitor internal and investor lock expiration reports to identify upcoming expirations, proactively notify Loan Officers and LO managers, and coordinate appropriate actions to minimize fallout and extension costs.

• Track and manage items in the secondary marketing task dashboard, ensuring lock-related tasks are prioritized, assigned, and completed within established turnaround times.

• Lock loans and submit updates with specific investors, ensuring accurate pricing, product selection, and terms based on investor programs and documentation.
