Accounting Manager
Join Canteen North America, a leader in workplace food and experience technology. We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our accounts receivable team, strengthen internal controls, and support finance operations.
Job SummaryThis role manages billing, invoicing, collections, and general ledger close activities. The Accounting Manager leads a small team, collaborates with sales and operations, and interacts with auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the staff of the accounts receivable department, ensuring all billing, invoicing, and payment processing activities are conducted accurately and on time.
- Manage the invoicing process, negotiate payment plans with customers, and ensure timely collection of debts owed to the company.
- Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and customer balances, and provide financial information to other departments and management.
- Train, guide, and support accounts receivable specialists, ensuring they perform their duties efficiently.
- Work closely with other departments, such as sales and operations, to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.
- Assist in period‑end close, ensure accurate general ledger representation, and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls across operations.
- Interact with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and transparency.
- Manage a staff of 2–3 associates, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Maintain office hours of 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday (with flexibility to cover staff as needed).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Management, or equivalent work experience required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and SAP.
- Strong ability to track and measure financial data and effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Prior accounts receivable experience strongly desired.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends during the month‑end close as required.
