Senior Consultant Transactions Advisory Services Overview

Baker Tilly is a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm with a coast‑to‑coast and global presence. Our advisory services span the U.S. and major global financial centers, offering clients professional assistance in audit, tax, and business advisory across a diverse client base.

Job Description

At Baker Tilly we invest in our people, fostering continuous learning and development. We are expanding our Transaction Services practice within Financial Advisory and seek a Senior Consultant to deliver due diligence and transaction advisory services to a wide range of clients.

Responsibilities
  • Interact directly with Partners on matters related to client and engagement management.
  • Gather data, review documents, and prepare quality‑of‑earnings reports.
  • Conduct research and financial analysis of target companies.
  • Execute due diligence for buy‑side, sell‑side, and corporate finance transactions.
  • Communicate with clients to ensure delivery of exceptional service.
  • Participate in marketing and recruiting activities of the firm.
  • Seize opportunities for career development and advancement within the transaction advisory services group.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
  • 2‑4 years of experience in a mid‑to‑large professional services firm, including audits and related services, with at least 2 years in transaction services/due diligence.
  • Professional designations or candidacy (CFE, CFA, etc.) or an advanced degree is a plus.
  • High motivation, initiative, and positive attitude.
  • Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to multitask and manage priorities.
  • Intermediate modeling and Excel skills; experience with complex quantitative and qualitative analysis and generating data‑driven insights.
  • Ability to work autonomously, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; experience presenting analyses to management and leading initiatives.
  • Team player capable of working effectively with all levels of client personnel in various industries.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior level client personnel, including supporting the preparation of executive briefings.

The compensation range for this role is $96,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic.
